Summer is here and now’s the time to visit friends and family for those fantastic bbq’s and dinners.
Here’s a quick recipe that goes down really well, and is very simple to make.
Thanks to Kristina H for sending it in.
x2 flakey puff pastry sheets
x2 tablespoons of Tamco Tamarillo relish
x1 wheel of brie or camembert cheese
x1 sprig of your favourite herb
Take a sheet of flakey puff pastry and place on a baking tray with a sheet of baking paper. Evenly coat it with Tamco Tamarillo relish (about 2 tablespoons should be nice). Place the second sheet on top and press together gently.
Place the wheel of cheese in the centre of the pastry and cut around it to make hole for it to sit in, and place there.
Now cut the pastry into strips to twist leaving about a 1 cm gap next to the cheese to help it stay in place.
Twist the strips in pairs twice around and press the ends together to join each pair.
Score the top of the cheese with a sharp knife, drizzle olive oil and herbs over the top. Use a brush to cover the pastry lightly in oil.
Place in the oven and bake at 180 degree C until golden brown.
Serve hot or warm to keep the cheese lovely and melted as you dip the pastry twists in to it. ENJOY!!
